FCOM0102 - Effective Public Communication

Class test

 We were tested on several chapters from the textbook. This test was to ensure us understand what we had learned in the class. It is also to make the time for us to focus to reflect the hard work. 

For this class test, I was regret that I studied last minute. I still remembered I studied to the whole day without sleeping and straight forward went to test. When I had my test questions, my mind was blank. All I have studied last night gone. I am never ever study last minute again. 

Individual essay

 

 For this assignment, we are needed to write an 800-1000 word essay. The topic I focused on was Chapter 8 Intercultural communication. I have understood the basic ideas in this chapter. I was able to explain the ideas in my essay with reference to the related theories learned. I was also able express in the form of an essay with proper APA citations and referencing.

I have learned more about how intercultural communication after this assignment. I am thinking that if I was not doing this assignment, I will never ever know this knowledge. Thus, I found this subject is interesting and I continue reading the following chapters.

Group project - Illustrations and Scripts

This is a group assignment which I grouped with Lee Choon Hwa, Amy Wong, Edwin Ngo and Ong Kok Sheng. The topic we focus on in this assignment was group communication. We are needed to do a dialogue script. I have learned how to express my understanding clearly by translating the concepts involved in the form of dialogue scripts. I have known how to use new examples to the form of script. 

I have learned that the important of group communication from this assignment. Thus, I knew the roles of every group members. I think I can be more cooperative after knowing this and my group members also. I need to improve the way of making dialogue script as I use broken English sometimes.
